I’ve never purchased anything without physically seeing it first. I present to you… The Compass. This sleek and portable ipad easel is pocket sized, forged with heavy gauge steel, and comes complete with a nice felt carrying case. I originally saw this stand in a magazine, so I looked it up online and had to get one almost immediately. I’m a sucker for clean design and this surpasses all my expectations from product aesthetics to packaging. Kudos to 12 South for an outstanding creation.

Once again… super big thanks to my lovely Shaney Jo Darden and everyone at Keep-A-Breast Foundation… the reason why I’d even purchase an iPad stand in the first place!

The Audio Technica AT-727 Sound Burger is a clamp-like 8″ portable record player which was released back in the early 80′s. Crosley is about to release their version “The Crosley Revolution” which is USB ready (not as cool as the original) but they still get cool points.

Apple’s always ahead of the game. I actually stopped working to watch the live coverage this morning. I’m sure the competition is shitting on themselves again for this one. Its definitely not for everyone, but behold… Mr. Jobs’ latest and greatest…the iPad.

How did it begin? Where did it come from? When was the first?

In 1920, a 400 pound ball made entirely of wrought iron replaced the original. In 1955, the iron ball was replaced with an aluminum ball weighing a mere 200 pounds. This aluminum Ball remained unchanged until the 1980s, when red light bulbs and the addition of a green stem converted the Ball into an apple for the “I Love New York” marketing campaign from 1981 until 1988. After seven years, the traditional glowing white Ball with white light bulbs and without the green stem returned to brightly light the sky above Times Square. In 1995, the Ball was upgraded with aluminum skin, rhinestones, strobes, and computer controls, but the aluminum ball was lowered for the last time in 1998.
Now you know!
